On Sunday, October 11th, from 4 to 6 pm, National Family Day will be celebrated at the Museum with a workshop dedicated to children and their families.
“Surus and His Brothers” is a Kids & Family event that will combine hands-on activities with archaeological heritage discovery. Long trunks, soft legs: did Hannibal really ride elephants? Starting from this question, children and parents, guided by an archaeologist, will be able to create a small clay elephant together , reminiscent of the pachyderms that accompanied Hannibal on his journey and were also protagonists in the Battle of the Trebbia .
At the end of the workshop, the created elephants will accompany the participants on a visit to the Roman section of the Archaeological Museum , to discover through finds and stories some of the most fascinating stories of Placentia's past.
The activity will take place at the Civic Museums of Palazzo Farnese, in the Roman section and in the classrooms on the first floor of the projecting body of the Citadel.
The workshop is free , while the entrance ticket costs 2 euros . Space is limited, so reservations are required.
