The Digit@Piacenza project, which began in 2025 and will continue in 2026, was made possible thanks to European funding from the Emilia-Romagna Region and focuses on cataloging, digitizing, and promoting the cultural heritage of the Municipality of Piacenza, preserved in the Civic Museums and the Passerini-Landi Library.
In the summer of 2025, the digitization of some of Palazzo Farnese's treasures began: Space spa professionals are using professional equipment and specialized skills, with a strong focus on conservation, to transform part of the Museums' heritage into digital resources. These resources will then be made available on dedicated platforms for the benefit of the entire community. Specifically, all digitized museum assets will be uploaded, along with their relevant data sheets, to PatER , the Region's online catalog.
This project looks to the future without forgetting our roots, with the aim of preserving and making accessible the cultural memory of the area.
