After a year of fervent creative activity and study, the Museo del Risorgimento in Piacenza , one of the Civic Museums located in Palazzo Farnese, is pleased to announce the inauguration of the exhibition "The Risorgimento in Color. Pills of History between Illustration and Comic Art" .

The event is scheduled for Thursday, November 20th at 5:00 PM. The exhibition will remain open to the public until March 22, 2026. The culmination of the "Drawing History" cultural project, the exhibition brings together the work of a group of cartoonists who, for an entire year, were invited to breathe new life into the key moments and protagonists of the Risorgimento, using the powerful and immediate language of comics and illustration.

The exhibition, curated by Antonio Iommelli , director of the Palazzo Farnese Civic Museums, and Sergio Anelli , brings together original works resulting from this unique creative journey, offering the public a fresh and colorful perspective on a crucial period in national history. Through plates, illustrations, and comic art, visitors will discover "snippets of history" narrated with great sensitivity and artistic mastery. To ensure maximum appreciation for this important work and to leave a lasting impression, all the exhibited works have been collected in an official catalogue . Its publication was made possible thanks to the fundamental support of the Institute for the History of the Italian Risorgimento (ISRI), Piacenza section, which granted the request for support to cover printing costs.

The Museum of the Risorgimento invites citizens, history enthusiasts and lovers of art and comics to participate in the inauguration and visit the exhibition.
